Who We Service — Our Four-Part Focus.

The U.S. Federal Government

Benefits that go beyond EPACT compliance standards.

IX Energy is proud to have entered into a 5-year agreement with UNICOR to manufacture solar modules. Our UNICOR agreement allows for delivery of solar modules to Federal agencies in order to pursue renewable energy mandates. Currently, we have a 24 MW fabrication facility online and a second factory is now in planning stages.

Our main focus is on Federal agencies that consume the highest amounts of electricity and rank the lowest on meeting compliance standards set by EPACT 2005. Many agencies have an enormous amount to gain by adopting renewable energy initiatives and programs – such as the Department of Defense, which was granted the largest budget of all agencies ($350 million) to invest in R&D in renewable projects and the U.S. Postal Service who currently ranks lowest in meeting EPACT directive; less than 1% of energy comes from renewable energy.

Other attractive agencies include: Dept. of Energy, Dept. of Justice, Veterans Affairs, and NASA, to name a few.

Commercial Market

Reducing energy costs is good for business.

The economics of domestic electricity markets are increasingly supportive of renewable energy projects at the commercial scale. According to the Department of Energy, commercial/utility scale solar systems are currently economically competitive with grid electricity prices in many areas.

IX Energy has deep experience implementing solutions for commercial customers. Currently, a 12 MW fabrication facility is in the planning stages for strategic vertical integration.

Some attractive incentives at both Federal and state levels include:

  • Federal tax credits, accelerated depreciation, rebates, Competitive Renewable Energy Bonds (CREBs)
  • DOE loan guarantees, U.S. Treasury grants, Solar Renewable Energy Certificate markets
  • RPS in over 30 states; states and utilities participating in clean energy incentive programs
  • Potential development of a carbon market in the U.S. based on proposed cap-and-trade system

Municipal Market

IX Energy makes public-private partnerships work.

At IX Energy, we make public-private partnerships work by managing multiple parties and partners to create customized solutions, coordinating with state and local agencies and designing and implementing city-scale, long term renewable energy strategies.

International Market

Global thinking for turn-key energy solutions.

IX Energy has strategic partnerships for raw materials across the globe. We evaluate development and manufacturing opportunities in Europe and Asia and are currently planning to expand geographic footprint for project development and manufacturing.

At present, IX Energy is analyzing project opportunities in Bulgaria, France, Italy and Spain, so that we can take advantage of attractive incentive programs that continue to develop globally, particularly in Europe.

Building power-packed relationships is the key to our success.

IX Energy is focusing on building key relationships by entering into teaming and co-development agreements and long-term contracts with trusted renewable energy suppliers and manufacturers.
We have established extensive relationships with companies involved in all stages of project development, both in Federal and commercial sectors, nationally and internationally.
